We just recently went here for lunch with the family and it was great. It wasnt overpriced. Plenty of space and seating. They were on point with continuously bringing food out and making sure we had drinks. We had 9 of us and needy lol so they was really on it. We all enjoyed the food, service, and experience. We'll be back soon.

i love finding different ayce spots and we came here to try it out. the service was great both times we came in and all the servers are very friendly and sweet to us. we never had to wait and always get seated immediately when we walk in. obviously this isn't the highest quality of sushi but the sushi is still sooo good!! & has a limited menu for the lunch ayce. We have no issue with that because lunch ayce is only $19 per person and you really don't get that anywhere else. especially if I'm craving salmon nigiri, salmon avocado roll, chicken katsu, and a miso soup this is my spot and is literally great prices. we will definitely continue to come back for a quick lunch when we are in west sac.

I came here on Mother's Day for the first time as a gift from my grandson. The food is really good, and the service and the readiness of the meal were also good, the attention of service to customers needs improvement, I tried to order and the waitress continued to speak over me to another employee so I needed to repeat myself over and over this was annoying, Eventually, the dinner ended well, and I was happy with my meal. Do know I'll return and hope the employees are more attentive.

Love this place!! Honestly, go during lunch because the menu is SOLID and it's at a discounted rate. I paid a little over $25 after tip and tax and my buddy and I split 100 pieces of sushi and had room for dessert (donuts and fried bananas ) Quality is pretty solid overall, especially for an AYCE. I'd rate 7/10 on taste and quality but 5 stars forsure due to how affordable everything is and just a great expeirence. My favs are the hamachi nigiri, the dragon roll, and I also really like their fried rolls! They have a salad bar as well- I like the spicy, thin cut radishes. Things I don't like on the menu and not in the pic were the salmon skin hand roll and the soft shell crab roll- too dry and just wasn't great. Excellent service too! They also had TVs and out on the NBA playoff games per request so that was awesome!

When we first saw this place, $19.95 for AYCE sushi and more? Too good to be true. We were passing through Sacramento on our way back to the Bay, and this was definitely worth a stop. Came for their lunch on a Sunday morning. Great value for price but maybe not the most premium fish quality, but that's to expect at any AYCE. I liked the sake (salmon) and hamachi (yellowtail) nigiri the most, and we tried at least one of every roll. The lunch selections didn't look as nice as the dinner but we made it work. There's a self serve sides bar for everything except cooked sides. The rolls were above average and the sides we ordered were pretty average. I did really like the donut, it was made fresh and not super buttery and sweet like Krispy Kreme, but more like a sugary churro. The servers were great, constantly checking in with our orders and unlike other AYCE, we could order as much as we wanted at once. Some dishes did take a lot longer than they needed to, like an order of Miso soup or fried oysters, but the kitchen must get backed up with so many orders coming at once. The non-fried rolls came almost instantly. Good stop for a cheap meal as we passed through Sac

Sacramento's super popular AYCE sushi restaurant serving delicious rolls, nigiri and such more. Expect a decent wait if you come in a weekend! Food: Shrimp & unagi temaki (hand rolls) - 5/5 - delici Unagi, tako (octopus), ebi (shrimp), ika (squid) nigiri - 5/5 - such refreshing and tasty bites King's - 5/5 - probably my all time favorite roll here Honey walnut - 5/5 - with a fragrant walnut kick Caterpillar - 5/5 - love the unagi and avocado Lion king - 5/5 - delicious savory spicy roll for you Dragon - 5/5 - pretty good spin on a popular classic Spider - 5/5 - pretty good spin on a popular classic Sunflower - 4/5 - little bit on the bland side Deep fried breaded banana - 4/5 - pretty good Ambience: Moderate sized Service: Fast and friendly even though it's so busy all the time

People think I'm a large person, but when I walked into the restaurant and felt small. I knew right away I was in the right place. If you're a big eater - 4 stars for value. Rice:fish is what you should expect for an A.Y.C.E. If you're about quality and rice to fish ratio- 3 stars. Parking right as they were supposed to open and noticed people getting dropped off and speed walking to the door. When I walked-in, it was already half full. They are quick for service and serious about moving. Nothing bad with it. Also, I ordered a kappamaki and she said, "you know that's cucumber, right?" LOL. I certainly appreciate the mentality. oh, find the metal buffet server for the condiments. I could definitely eat there again.

I find myself at Raku for AYCE lunch (M-F $18.95, weekends and holidays $19.95 per person) or dinner (Mon-Thu $28.95, Fri-Sun & Holidays $29.95 per person) sushi cravings, anywhere from 1-6 months in between (also when I don't forget that they're closed on Tuesdays). My typical party sizes are usually a minimum of 2, max of 9 or 10 depending on if it's with friends or the lab crew. Most recent visit, someone else got the tab so I'm not 100% sure about the automatic gratuity depending on your number of people dining. There is a tablet to sign into the waitlist if there is a wait, otherwise there is plenty of seating. The menu can be scanned on a QR code or laminated physical copies available. At lunchtime, you're limited to the "Lunch" side of the menu, although occasionally there are a few of their "Dinner" menu items they do let you order during lunchtime. There are definitely a few sushi rolls on the Dinner menu that I've always gotta come back for -- 49ers, Harbor, Bob's, Capitol, Kings, Salmon Lover...also the strawberry tempura ice cream dessert option is only at dinner too! Some of the unique ones also at dinner are the Honey Walnut, Miso Tuna, Note that temaki (hand rolls) are also only available during dinner (shrimp, spicy tuna, salmon skin, California, or unagi). At dinner you can order from the entire menu regardless of "Lunch" or "Dinner" item designations. The salad bar has edamame, sunomono, seaweed salad, cabbage/slaw, orange slices, ginger, wasabi, etc. and is self-serve. From the appetizers menu, the miso soup, mixed tempura, gyoza, and fried oysters are all good. Can't speak to the chicken teriyaki or katsu though. Lunch sushi rolls (4 pieces per order) that stand out for me are the Phoenix, Howie, Philly, Rock n Roll, Dragon. The Spider Roll for some reason comes with lettuce inside which I'm not a fan of though; Sunflower has asparagus. The nigiri (2 pieces per order) is also where it's at: salmon (sake), tuna (maguro, hamachi, or albacore), mackerel (saba), octopus (tako), shrimp (ebi), eel (unagi), squid (ika), sweet scrambled egg (tamago), seaweed salad (wakame), tilapia (izumidai), roe (masago), tofu wrap (inari). No sashimi here though (fish-only), just the nigiri (with rice). For dessert, you can also get (hot & fresh) fried bananas, donuts, and/or sesame balls! For bigger groups we were provided a carafe of ice water for the table, otherwise they did come by frequently with the pitcher for refills. Each round of ordering was quick and easy -- although be aware that since it's buffet style some rolls might be together on a plate as they're made and not always according to the individual who ordered it, so hope you play nice and are good with sharing sort of family style rather than personal platters.
